Phil Lynott
Ok it was a bit weird. In the weeks leading up to my debut exhibition I panicked, I felt I didn't have enough paintings worthy of an exhibition. Confidence was low, sleep was becoming less and less so I decided to get off my arse and paint. I have been wanting to do a series of music legends, people that meant something to me (and Justin Bieber for my step daughter) I had done Johnny Cash and Dylan. There are few people more iconic than Thin Lizzys front man.
So one day I had it decided right its going to be Phillo. That day I went to source an image online I realised that that day it was the great mans anniversary. Bit spooky.#
So this almost killed me trying to get it right but eventually after staring at it for hours I decided it was ready. Ive gotten loads of feedback about it, all good so that is always a bonus. I dont really give a shit about feedback but it is nice. If I am happy with a piece that is all I need. I paint for myself. Of course my lovely wife will tell me if something is shit, I love the brutal honesty of her criticism.
This also featured in my debut exhibition.
Again its acryllic on canvas and may feature some blood and madness from its creation
